Join us on a trip with Project Held to Uganda

O

n October 10-22, Project Held organizes a trip to Uganda.

We will make a trip to Uganda! We will spend the first 5 days of the trip at Iris ministries. The project in Uganda supported by Project Held is part of Iris Ministries Sudan. Until last year the children stayed in Yei, in Sudan. Because of the rebel war there it was no longer safe for the children to stay and they fled with all 90 children to Uganda where they have built a new life. Iris Ministries Sudan is part of the branch of Iris Ministries Mozambique, founded by Rolland and Heidi Baker.

During our stay we will provide practical assistance and spend time with the children. We will experience a wonderful worship evening together with the children in the open air under the stars. Furthermore, we will participate in the team there and serve the children.

After this we will travel to Gulu, this is in the north of Uganda. Here a campaign will be held by the Foundation of Words of Faith. The Project Held team will work with the campaign. The campaign is from October 17-21. During the day there will be a program of evangelism, education for the newly converted and prayer. There will be 5 campaign evenings where Evangelist Falko Lodewijk will speak. In addition, there are many former child soldiers from the time of Joseph Kony and his rebel group, the Lords Resistance Army (LRA). In the rural villages around Gulu live many orphans who are maintained by the local churches. We, Project Held want to see if we can do something for these children and offer help where necessary.
