Newsletter Project Held September 2020
Through this newsletter we keep you informed of the latest news of our projects.
Dear sponsors,
Hereby we send you our Project Held newsletter of September.
We hope that you may be blessed and encouraged by the things the Lord is doing within our projects and of which you are a part of with your prayers and support.

Joy in Uganda:

We have written about it before, Carolyn Figlioly, our contact in Uganda, was in America visiting family and promoting the movie ‘’Walk with me: When war comes to your door’’, about her time with the children in a war zone in Sudan. Unfortunately she was no longer allowed to fly and was forced to stay in America for months longer. Thanks to prayer and persistence, Carolyn was finally allowed to go to her “home country” Uganda in early September. There she first spent two weeks in quarantine. What a joy when she was finally allowed to travel to the children's home last week. She was welcomed with dance and music and the children had prepared everything. Here you can see part of her return home to the Iris base.

Great testimony for Thailand:

Wan and Fa are two young women who were taken care of by Baan Zion in Thailand years ago. Wan and Fa have both developed into young Spirit-filled leaders. Now that Jan Smit is in the Netherlands and cannot travel to Thailand for the time being because of Covid-19, these young women have largely taken over his duties and are now taking care of the girls in the home. Both come from equal circumstances and know all too well what it is like to live in immense poverty, to be exposed to abuse and to have no future by not getting an education. From their personal experiences, rescued from abuse and human trafficking in the village and growing up in Baan Zion, and their university education, they will certainly make a difference in the guidance of these girls.
(We like to introduce Fearn, also one of the students with great opportunities of a wonderful future. Would you like to help her?)

Irrigation system in Kenya:

In Kenya at Hope4Hope everything is in full development, they are working hard to become more self-sufficient and to grow their own fruit and vegetables. It is a large piece of land where they want to build an irrigation system. Thanks to your donations, they could make a start on this. They were able to buy many pins to start the irrigation system. The boys now have a bottle with each young plantation to which water hoses will be connected so that everything can be watered from the well.
